February 4th - Mission Project: Food Bank
We'll be at the Regional Food Bank (off of McArthur and SW 36th St) starting at am. You need a parent permission form filled out to participate, so if you haven't filled one of these out already please get one from me if you would like to participate. We should be done around noon!
February 5th - Souper Bowl of Caring and a Super Bowl Party
On Super Bowl Sunday we have 2 great events going on. The first is the Souper Bowl of Caring. We will be collecting cans of soup and donations at each service. Please help out with this at whichever service you attend. We will be donating what we collect to the Regional Food Bank.
The second is a Super Bowl Watch Party at the Whittington's house! We'll be having burgers and hotdogs and all the fixin's all you need to bring is your favorite side dish or appetizer or a dessert! Meet us at the Whittington's (10509 Honey Tree Ln, OKC) at 5:00, we'll play some games (hopefully outside if it's nice) and then get down to watch the Super Bowl, or the commercials if that's what you prefer ;). We'll be done about 8:30pm.
February 12th - 2nd Sunday
Join us for Breakfast at 9:15am before heading on to Sunday School! Confirmation students - invite your covenant partner, it would be a great and easy way for you to spend some time together.
February 17-18 - Confirmation Retreat
The confirmation class will be traveling to Dwight Mission for an awesome retreat to further their journey of faith and have some fun along the way. We'll be learning about key concepts in the Presbyterian tradition and reformed Christian faith using the symbols in the Presbyterian cross as our guide. It will be a great weekend to get away from our normal routine and surroundings and grow deeper in our faith and understanding of God. We will be meeting at the church at 5:00 on Friday, and returning to the church at about 11:30pm on Saturday. Since we will be returning so late on Saturday we will not have class on Sunday, so sleep in a bit and we'll see you in worship! Please turn in your registration forms to Sarah no later than Wednesday, February 15th.
February 26th - 4th Sunday
We're back at Grace Presbyterian Church for our monthly gathering of Presbyterian youth in the area! Either meet us there (N. Council and Hefner Rds) at 6:00pm or if you need a ride meet us at FPC at 5:30pm. We are usually done about 8:00 and back at the church by 8:30pm.
