The Bible’s “Creation” stories joyously declare that God created, and that everything God created is good. This is one of the reasons why First Church believes that each of us has been created to be in a joyous relationship with God and with one another; to share, and be God’s Good Gifts. We also believe that God loves us too much to just leave us alone in a broken and sometimes crazy world that offers intimate relationships and maturing love yet does not deliver. We believe that the Spirit gives birth to and deepens relationships of heart, body and mind. Through the scriptures and the faith community, the Spirit of God gives depth of life, practical steps to living, and challenges us to live into the “image of God” in which we have been created.

We have been invited to walk together in the way of Christ.
