We have a dynamic and diverse ministry for children. We meet kids where they are and invite them to have fun with Jesus while helping them to connect with their personal faith journey. - Dr. Matt Meinke (AP) & Sarah Chancellor (Director of Children & Youth Activities)
Sunday Morning Opportunities
Children's Chapel: Worship experience for Kindergarten – 5th Grade children.
Sunday School for the little ones begins with a worship experience in Cory Chapel. We come together to sing, pray, read, and discuss worship elements or special stories that bring the Bible to life. Allows for our youngest Children's Ministry members to experience God and worship Him in their own way! Led by Pastor Matt every Sunday at 9:30 throughout the year.
Summer Sunday School: Sunday School for rising 1st through 5th grade children.
Our children are spending all summer studying Mission Stories from around the world. This biblically-based multi-age curriculum from the We Believe series features stories from the children of PC(USA) mission personnel or PC(USA) mission personnel who work with children. The hands-on activities and world map connect our kids into the whole world. Taught by volunteers at 9:30 – 10:20 am. Available June through August.
Worship Workshop: For Kindergarten through 5th grade children.
Our children learn about their Reformed/Presbyterian heritage with an exploration of the different elements of worship. Going beyond head knowledge, challenging our children in their hearts and lives, to live out their faith in worship. Every Sunday during the school year (Time varies, but coincides with Sunday School time)
Acolytes: For 3rd – 6th Grade (extending to 12th Grade).
Worship is at the heart of who we are. Our children are integral to worship as well, not only participating in worship, but leading in worship. Contact Mickie Smith, our Acolyte Coordinator for more details - mickiesmith1@cox.net.

Wednesday Activities: Kirknight
This Fall begins a new chapter for our Children and Youth on Wednesdays.
The Kid Connection curriculum will provide us with an opportunity to have fellowship and fun, along with learning about God. Complimenting our biblically-based Sunday School program, Kid Connection begins with worship time and a Bible story presentation for the whole group. Then kids gather in small groups (K-2 and 3-5) to connect with their leaders and dive deeper into the lesson.
What else is special about Kid Connection?
- Connects church and home through a family magazine that kids love and parents can really use!
- Connects kids to God with lessons that are thoroughly biblical and Reformed in their integration of head, heart, and hands.
- Connects church to community through lessons that work in outreach ministries.
- Connects with leaders through session plans that are fun to teach and easy to prepare.
- Connects with kids through age-appropriate lessons that fit multiple intelligences.
